Dr. Daniel Burchfield received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University. He graduated from University of Louisville School of Dentistry with honors in 1980 and completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville V.A. Hospital Program in 1981. He went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York, New York in 1984.

Dr. Burchfield has received several prestigious awards during his career including a Clinical Cancer Research Grant and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award. In 1988, Dr. Burchfield opened his first office in Hendersonville, TN as a solo practitioner and is the founding partner of OMSNashville.

In his spare time, he enjoys living on his farm with his dogs, tending to his vineyard, cheering on the Nashville Predators, and spending time with his three sons, John Daniel, Garrett, and Jacob.
