Dr. Daniel Burchfield received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University. After graduating with honors from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, he completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville V.A. Hospital program. He went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York, New York. He received a prestigious Clinical Cancer Research Grant in 1977 and was the recipient of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award in 1980. Dr. Burchfield has been voted perennially by Nashville Lifestyles Magazine in their category of Top Dentists in Nashville. He has also been recognized as one of America’s Best Dentists and recently by Interfaith Dental in Nashville as a Dentist of Distinction.
Dr. Burchfield is the founding partner of OMSNashville and opened his first office as a solo practitioner in 1988. His personal interests include golf, tennis, racquetball, running, swimming, bicycling, and reading. He enjoys living on his farm with his three dogs, cheering on the Nashville Predators, and spending time with his three sons, John Daniel, Garrett, and Jacob.
